In Character
Name: Thea Sinclair Tate
Age: Eighteen
Powers: None, she is a human.
Character Picture: Alexa Chung
Occupation: Student / Waitress at baci & abbracci, an Italian restaurant in Brooklyn.
Residence: 58 Metropolitan Ave, Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Brief History: Ralph Tate and Ella Harth weren't married when they had either of their children. In fact, they hadn't even been dating when they had Cole Alexander in 1993. Ten years later, when they had their second child, Thea Sinclair, they had been dating on and off and were casually engaged. But the second child didn't really have the same effect as the first, and Ralph and Ella split up permanently. Ella took Cole with her to up-state in New Paltz to pursue... something. That left Ralph with Thea, who was not only a baby but also a girl. Eek. Hey, he did his best; taught his little girl what he knew about life and art, and at fourteen, when all she wanted was freedom to do whatever the hell she wanted, well, he let her. Whether or not that was a good decision, there was no one around to tell him, and she seemed pretty okay.
Thea loved her childhood. Her days were filled with goofing off at school, and hours and hours of time spent in the upstairs of the loft which had been transformed into a studio for her father's painting. She never had responsibilities, even when the garbage piled up and dad was at work, or the collected strays needed feeding and dad was asleep after two days with no rest whatsoever, she could just sit back and read a magazine or watch some television. For some reason, when she got old enough that Ralph let her do even more without supervision, Thea got more responsible. Not that she took out the trash or washed the dishes, but she did feed the cats and she even got herself a job to help pay the bills. The new lack of rules didn't turn Thea into the perfect little princess, of course, she did get a little more wild with her freedom. She spent night after night with her friends in bars that they got into with fake IDs, went to school late in the mornings, and worked all afternoon as a waitress. She was yo-yoing between wild child and Miss Mature, and whether or not she became an extremist politically because of this or it brought it out, soon Thea was protesting everything from environmental issues (oh, her mother would be proud) to mutant rights. Against mutant rights, anyway. Thea feels strongest about her hatred of the mutants. And Ralph couldn't be prouder.
Affiliations: Anti-mutant
Relations: None
Desired plot(s):
Her long lost brother could always come back to town--hippie raised and probably with complete opposite views than Thea.
